1. The only time I ever listen to Pat is when he's a guest on
HArtball or some daytime show, and even then I either scream at the TV or switch the channel until I feel his segment is done! Pat falls into the catagory of the people who hould retire& just go away, like Leiberman, Bobby Byrd (as much as I still like him he's too damn old), Spector (who is finally going to be gone), and any other dinos who I've forgotten.

5. Old Pat never seems to disappoint with his racist, oppressive blathering.
The funny thing would be to have someone ask Michael Steele what he thinks about it in the same fashion he was asked about Rand Paul's statements.

Sometimes, I believe that the GOP tests Steele's loyalty by having him support on the air the most vile, racist talking points that come out of that party. And if they did ask the RNC Chairman about Buchanan, this would truly be the "final exam".

No person of color, in their right mind, would not support Buchanan--not even if it came down to bribery. He's that disgusting an individual.

8. Correction: "No person of color, in their right mind, would support Buchanan.."
Sorry. Chalk it up to early-in-the-morning tired eyes. :(

Among the many things that Buchanan conveniently forgets . . .
Is that being a Communist wasn't actually against the law (the McCarran Act of 1950 only required registration -- and defined the failure to register as the crime), while being an espionage agent was. Big difference. McCarthy's witch hunt was still a witch hunt, even if there were witches around.

And why call capitalism "capitalism" rather than "free enterprise?" Because it's more accurate.

And why the separation of church and state? Because the founders (not all of them, admittedly) thought it was a Very.Good.Idea, and -- just incidentally -- it works. And it's precisely because several of the 13 states had official religions that the prohibition was inserted in the Constitution. Because -- as history gives us so many examples -- state religions ultimately prove disastrous.

Once again, Buchanan claims the weekly Dickhead Award for Historical Revisionism, shared with the Texas School Board.
