At the very end of the interview, Rachel pins him down on drilling permits being issued even after President Obama ordered a moratorium.

He is obviously disatisfied with what he calls the "large beaurocracy" that seems to be out of control. However, he is clear that no new drilling will be allowed until recurrence of such an event as the Gulf Gusher is a "remote possibility".

1. Rachel is the best - but Chu only knew "what he reads in the paper" about...
...all those permits. He has no control over MMS, and neither it seems does anyone else.

3. If Sec'y Chu said it,
then it's got to be official, or he should resign out of such disrespect for his position.

2. He was disturbing in his non-knowledge
He seemed out of it.

Rachel would make a great president. She's just smart as hell.

5. No, I can't blame him ...
... for not knowing what MMS was doing. First, that's not his department (it's Interior, Ken Salazar's dept) and second, no one knows what the hell MMS is doing.

He's one of the better guys in the administration. You could see he was frustated with knowing only what he read in the papers and was airing that frustration publicy. The Sec'y of the Interior should be working hand-in-hand on these issues. Ken Salazar should be replaced for failing to even begin to clean up the mess Cheney made.
