XPost: Victor Valley College to unveil high-efficiency solar project
Victor Valley College's new 1-megawatt plant uses technology known as concentrator photovoltaics. The $4.5-million facility will be the largest of its kind in North America.

1. I don't think most schools and business have the six acres...
to put the 122 arrays to make it work.

3. Then it wouldn't work.
The idea behind this system is that it's a big series of mirrors that concentrate sunlight onto one specific spot.

You could have just one regular solar panel. But that's not as efficient.

5. I'm thinking the same thing about you.
concentrator solar systems require a lot of space and would work in big solar power plant operations. Not for smaller operations.
