That's what it looks like. There's a lot of busy ROVs down there too.

3. I agree...
Looking at the feed. I believe the feed that shows 3 plumes was a piece of weaken riser pipe they were worried about. It looks like it may have burst.

This is total speculation on my part based on video observation, so take it with a grain of salt for now.

6. There's also a lot of ROV activity going on
Maybe one of them just stirred up some stuff. I hope so.

CNN has six screens going, if you aren't getting the views of the ROVs and other stuff going on, go here:

http://edition.cnn.com/video/flashLive/live.html?stream=1

Link is on the right side of the page.

The BOP cam view is all clouded over, but the others are more or less clear.

7. No, No, No. If there was even a hint of a problem, CNN would be all over it.
Even if there wasn't and they COULD get all excited, they'd be there.

I think things change, camera views, currents, etc.

I'm not seeing a problem.

17. Actually, deterioration of the riser isn't too surprising.
They expected this could happen with all the additional pressure and material being forced through the holes in the damaged riser.

They'll just keep pumping mud in to try to overwhelm the damn thing.

15. No fan of big oil
but I sure hope they can get this beast under control. From what I read today, it looks like the BP company man proposed a well shut down process that the Transocean reps did not like. They apparently got overruled and within 12 hours the well blew out.

That alone was very damaging to anything BP can say. One of the roughnecks who got out alive pretty much fried BPs ass on national TeeVee.

26. Anyone else notice the timestamp difference between BP & CNN?
Both are supposed to be a 'live' feed, but it looks like the feed on the BP site is about 8 minutes behind the CNN version of the same video.

BP's 8-minute delayed 'live' feed:
http://www.bp.com/liveassets/bp_internet/globalbp/globalbp_uk_english/homepage/STAGING/local_assets/bp_homepage/html/rov_stream.html

CNN's live feed:

42. Yes, the water is murky. There has not been a new blowout. I'm sure it's fine.
Because, at times, the water clears enough to see that the tan-colored plumes are still much the same.

The mud is heavier than water, but is blowing in an upward direction.

All these thousands of gallons are accumulating and loitering around in the waters in the neighborhood.

Eventually, some of the material has sunken and blended with the otherwise more clear seawater.

And this muddied water finally crept back in around the BOP from all sides, more from the left, and is obscuring our view.

That's what I think we are seeing.

:patriot:
