The GOP senator or senators that are blocking this need to be called out.... publicly, loudly, and often.... every single day until they relent.

We can't let this get swept under by all the other news going on.

Some Republican senators are trying to protect BP from paying for this mess. We're not making this public enough.

3. +1

I was going to say something very much like that, but it had a lot more profanity in it. So, I'll just let your remarks stand as definitive.

If it was this thread would be pinned to the top of the page for a week solid with over 4000 views and a few hundred Recommendations. And it wouldn't even have to be true either. Just an unconfirmed source quoted in the NYT would be good enough for them to go ape shit.

Thats the way it works around here lately.

Now let Bobby Jindal spout a few lies and everyone loves him here. We have full blown threads here saying what a great fellow he is. And he had a hand in causing this tragedy! And the goofs still love him? Unfuckingbelievable isn't it?

Something isn't right.

5. Because that might cause the public to view the GOP unfavorably.
Can't have that.

8. Because, It Seems, Bail-Outs For Oil Companies Are A-Ok .
That is until election time when Republicans will, somehow, turn it against us and the media will nod in agreement.
