Maybe you want to protest ******* ********* Maybe you're just sick of hearing about them. Either way, you can now block all mention of ******* ********* from your internets with a Firefox plug-in... and replace them with mini oil spills.

The Oil Spill plug-in effect is similar to what we saw a few weeks ago with Shaved Bieber—which gets rid of all Justin Bieber references, rending Twitter basically impotent—with an added twist: the oil slick that replaces any ******* *********-related text actually drips down your screen.

An effective form of protest? Maybe not. A little on the nose? Sure. But it's a steady reminder of just how bad a shape we're in. And the longer this plays out, the more we'll need one.

EDIT ADD: I've installed the plugin and it's kind of cool but I probably won't keep it for long. It slows down page loads and blanks out the many anti-BP images posted by DUers. It also splats on any word that contains the letters "bp" - like webpage.
