••• Oil leak may last until NEXT YEAR so enjoy the DLC partying with the corporations •••

There is no guarantee the relief well will even reach the leaking well, it may miss and have to be redug. Meanwhile the relief well and other measures may have to be suspended because hurricane season is starting.

If the oil gets into the Gulf Stream it could threatened a great deal of the ocean, on which we depend for oxygen.

Ah well, it was a nice planet while it lasted.

Keep hangin' with the corporations, people. Those DLCers really know what they're doing.

Of course, why vote for an imitation Republican when you can vote for a real one? That's what the public will be thinking in November. Nice going, DLCers.....

In the words of Harry Truman, "If you run a Republican against a Republican, the Republican will win every time."

6. I've probably posted as much against Sara Palin as anybody around.

I collected copious info and posted it, on her fake birth which was really Bristol's baby.

20. Of course. I was one of the most gung ho DUers in support of Al Gore.

I think Gore is much more progressive than some people gave him credit for. And I endured a lot of spitballs from some DUers for supporting him so much.

8. That's one of the big problems with being a DLCer. They don't inspire anybody to vote.

And in midterm elections it is mainly the inspired, the committed, the fanatics, the impassioned who bother to vote, and that's the Republicans right now.

14. The only way a DLC candidate can "inspire" the voter is to scare them with the alternative
Edited on Thu Jun-03-10 08:53 AM by Moochy
SARAH PALIN!!! OOO SCARY!!
Either way you get to vote for the candidate a shadowy bunch of fascists have pre-selected for you!

Last election they voted for something they didn't get. Hope and change. Seems that regardless of who wins we elect a frickin liar whose loyaltes lie with the corporations.

23. Of course, most unrec-ers don't even have enough self-respect to show their face.
You never find out who most of them are because most of them don't even comment. Personally I appreciate living in a country where the accused have the right to face their accusers. Unrec-ing without commenting and admitting you unrec'd is like ratting people out anonymously in the McCarthy era. If you have a criticism, voice it, instead of whispering behind the scenes. And if you unrec, say why, so we can respond to the accusation. In my view unrec-ing is a form of group-think and censorship. It shuts up and deletes the recs of others. You know, free speech and all that....
