I hope his family takes her to civil court. Even if her defense is her condition, she had no right to have his plug pulled later.

3. I must have missed something. Why couldn't she help him? |

She's afraid of blood?
Also, I think the 911 dispatcher may have made a mistake.
The dispatcher said to put pressure ON the head wound.
The first aid training I just got a few weeks ago said that if you have a head wound, you put pressure AROUND THE OUTSIDE of the wound, to avoid pushing bone fragments into the brain.

5. I normally don't listen to this sort of thing BUT when I heard he was divorced from... |
|
...her, and had been for a while, before she asked to have the plug pulled on his life-support.
I dunno, that was a strange, unexpected twist. Anyway, I listened to this just now.
All I can say is this woman does not do anything for him, as far as I can hear. First, she's not able to even look and see him. I think she said she was afraid she was going to "seize". I don't know what that was about. Second, third, fourth and fifth, etc. are the numerous times the operator asks her to assist Gary but she won't. Or it doesn't sound like it anyway. She is really good at shouting instructions at a semi-conscious person, though. I'll give her that.
Basically like it was a total stranger making the 911 phone call, who'd discovered a person in a similar situation on the street. Obviously, I wasn't there.
Tragic.
Strange.

6. Why are these calls public? |
|
There's something wrong with that.

7. How would all of this look if the gender roles were reversed??? |
|
It would be making front page news.
They both have a history of domestic violence and it's no question who was the bigger, stronger of the two. I don't know what happened but it definitely needs to be investigated further.
