Dem Rep. Linda Sanchez: White Supremacists Behind Arizona Immigration Law
" Rep. Linda Sanchez (D-CA) "There's a concerted effort behind promoting these kinds of laws on a state-by-state basis by people who have ties to white supremacy groups. It's been documented. It's not mainstream politics."

1. put this in the No Sh*t, Sherlock category.
Of Course white supremacists are behind the law; that's the entire point of the law, to harass non-whites both immigrant and native-born Americans.

7. FAIR's racist history and connections aren't widely known
Though it's familiar here, anything that helps call it out to a wider audience is welcome.

Many supporters of the anti-immigrant law probably would be turned off if they learned more about its background. In fact, many supporters of the law ALSO favor a path to citizenship, so they're not entirely hostile to undocumented immigrants. Dishonest pols like Pearce, Brewer and McCain have incited fear to gain support for anti-immigrant legislation--which is part of FAIR's broader strategy. They've been building up to this for years, and they have more anti-immigrant initiatives planned.

It's going to take a lot more public exposure of the truth about FAIR and its supporters to affect the uninformed popular support for their agenda.

2. Is she saying 70% of Arizonans are white supremacists?
Bit of a stretch there.
