I've frequent DU and HuffingtonPost for my daily news but lately
I cannot go to HuffingtonPost anymore because they seem to be infatuated with Palin. Every single day there's another stupid photo of her and a inane story about something she said or did. Isn't that dingbat irrelevant already? Am I alone on this? I can't be!

1. Hard to argue that she's irrelevant
Edited on Thu Jun-03-10 01:42 PM by AmericaIsGreat
She's relevant. Worthless dipshit, but relevant nonetheless.

I just immediately skip those stories on HP, like all the stories about celebs

I have no problem with that.

3. she is very relevant
Because she has widespread grassroots support among Republicans. Face it, any prominent Republican leader will get media attention, regardless of how stupid they are (and any Republican leader I can think of wouldn't be much better.) If Newt Gingrich were the most popular Republican leader, we'd be hearing about him every day, too. Same if it were McConnell, or Dick Armey, or James Inhofe, or JD Hayworth, or any other Republican as crazy and stupid and annoying as she is.

8. Bill Kristol had plans for her no matter the outcome of the 2008 election.
His cynicism about the low mentality of republican voters really paid off well.

But dangerous wasted space.

Edited on Thu Jun-03-10 01:54 PM by ShockediSay
good to show how MT her talking points really are, like:

drill, baby drill

smaller gov, so who protex us from the BPs?

the Goldmans?

AlQaeda?

Isn't it all a scam so the filthy wealthy
{as to which Sarah has ascended, eschewing
public service for the Fascist Funded -IMHO-
public speaking circuit?} won't have to bear
their fair share of taxes?

at the expense of the vast majority of Americans
with severly increased stealth taxes {foreclosres,
job losses, flat levels of wages for the past ?upmpteen
years, dying for lack of corporately provided affordable
health insurance?}

11. She also rates a mention in practically every single newscast
What she said, on-line or in front of some camera somewhere. Why? The election is long over, she lost and is irrelevant. She's now a private citizen. but her smirking face just keeps popping up. I certainly never wanted or expected to hear from her ever again. The election speeches-interviews were excruciating enough. I'm sure that much of it is for the entertainment value, but I agree, enough is enough. x(

14. I agree with you. Your bird picture (I'm off subject here) is
poignant. How pitifully sad that this innocent bird is in human hands rather than soaring the skies. May I use it?

24. Feel free to use it for whatever you like.
I found it on the internets. Actually, I found two, but the other one was even more heartbreaking, if you can imagine. I've had that quote since we've had sig lines, but replaced the pic of my own dog with this poor oil soaked bird because I just can't believe that this is happening again, only this horror is infinite, and the plight of the wildlife rips my heart out. ;(

Here's the original: :hi:

25. Thank you so much! Sorry it took so long for me to reply.
:hi:

I've spent a little time on the beaches at Galveston and Corpus Christi....I loved watching all the gulls, pelicans, etc. Poor babies...wish I could help.

27. You're more than welcome.
The closest I've been is the coast of Florida. I'm in NY, but we visited my grandmother, when she spent winters in Florida, several times when I was a kid. We went to the beach everyday and I thought it was magic, all the new things I got to see, remember the gulls and the pelicans... :-)

This is the other bird photo I considered using, but he's obviously suffering, and I have trouble looking at him now. I hope so much he got help, but he is obviously only one of so many. With no end in sight, this leak could affect the entire coast, and what it will do to the Gulf in unimaginable. x(

I wouldn't count her down and out. HP has the right idea.

It's like that zombie movie, Zombieland. You have to go for the double tap.

21. The GOP is flummoxed...gored, unable to move with dexterity...stuck on stupid. Palin is confirmation
Whoever said Political Parties cannot selfdestruct is full of it...

The GOP is in fact close to Death Throes

Their series of blunders and misadventures coloring their stint at the National Helm proves beyond a doubt of their INEPTNESS

tHEY ARE JUST FAKING THEIR WAY THROUGH

What have they done over the many Years at the helm

That they display full on Stupidness with Newt in there is astounding....

They doom themselves into the realm of weakness and perhaps extinction with newt and Palin...they are stuck with the 2 of them...and if we include thye media crazies..beck, hannity, etc...they asre really fucked...
