There is one thing we can learn from the Republicans.. and the Tea Party people
And that is to stand our ground more.

When the right, gets it WRONG , we will hammer about it a couple of times.. then quickly turn all our anger on our own.

How many times are we going to attack all the Democrats, Liberals etc instead of sticking it to the Right for a change.

We have all this energy to eat our own, but not the stomach to stand up to the right.

5. THAT idea, I can agree with wholeheartedly.
If our party did that more, morale would improve beyond measure and there would be no stopping us. We could have the values, ideas, inventions, education, peace, harmony, and love our party's platform espouses instead of our current mess.

If I knew of a way to send the backbone from the bottom up, to empower our party leaders to stand the fuck up to the Republicans more, I would have already started on it.

7. Clinton's statement
Democrats want to fall in love.
Republicans want to fall in line.

Democrats aren't real good with the "my guy right or wrong" schtick. And they tend to feel a sense of responsibility for the person the put into office. So if they are doing something a democrat considers "wrong" they feel a need to say so. It's basically a bit of "intellectual honesty". Republicans are much more comfortable with the authortarian model. They'd make good Roman Catholics. Democrats are more like Unitarians. Everything is always up for discussion.

8. I know about the herding cats with Democrats.. but we have got to hold the right
to the fire more.. we give them way too much leeway.. we don't hammer down on them the way we do our own. We need to grab the right by the hair and shake till the fleas fall out. They have gotten so used to not being held accountable for anything, we need to stand our ground for more than two days with those characters.

11. Um, we hammered Bush pretty hard
What we didn't accomplish was any sort of "lock step" opposition in Congress like the GOP is currently doing.

12. Umm, that would require having an actual position. Standing for something beyond winning elections
was abandoned by the Democratic Party in the late 60's.

And look at the wonderful fruits that has borne.
