co-worker Coast Guard reservist called up for oil spill - says his hotel bill goes to BP

co-worker Coast Guard reservist called up for oil spill - says his hotel bill goes to BP
He says all their hotel bills are going straight to BP. He also says hotels are filled to capacity where he is with USGS, FEMA, NOAA, and a host of other "alphabet soup" as he calls it.

Wonder if it's possible to verify this?
