Right-wing lunatic warns of hundreds of millions of years of intergalactic jihad...

"We feel it would be more appropriate maybe to build a center dedicated to expunging the Quranic texts of the violent ideology that inspired jihad, or perhaps a center to the victims of hundreds of millions of years of jihadi wars, land enslavements, cultural annihilations and mass slaughter." -- Pam Geller

Pam Geller is so stupid that I almost want to give the Teabaggers more credit than that.

2. It's actually an old quote from a "debate" on CNN...
These apparently involve such interesting topics as whether Muslims have the right to build places of worship in Manhattan and whether or not homosexuality is a condition that can be cured.

I used to love watching Begala and Carville take on Novak and Carlson; but none they have this shit. Glad I don't have cable anymore.

3. Expand it to include victims of ALL religion-inspired violence
and expunging ALL religious texts of violent ideology

(good luck with that)

...the "poor man's" Ann Coulter, then Pam Geller belongs to the homeless man. She is so insane.

7. Never read the "Dune" series while high
The actual issue involves construction of a Muslim community Center near the site of Ground Zero. Folks are protesting against it as "an effort to insult the victims of 9/11 and to establish a beachhead for political Islam and Islamic supremacism in New York."

What the protesters don't mention is that the Muslim congregation had been located 10 blocks from Ground Zero for more than a generation.

Compare Geller's views with the following perspective cited at the end of the article and ask yourself which one is rational:

But Marvin Bethea, who was a paramedic at ground zero, said it was "the right thing to do."

"I lost 16 friends down there. But Muslims also got killed on 9/11. It would be a good sign of faith that we're not condemning all Muslims and that the Muslims who did this happened to be extremists," he said. "As a black man, I know what it's like to be discriminated against when you haven't done anything."

8. It's embarrassing that this is an issue...
A Megachurch in Colorado is 1000 times nuttier than a Mosque in NYC.
