Alaska's Permanent Fund... isn't that 'socialism'?
I never heard Ms.Palin condemn her state for this kind of re-distribution of the wealth.

It puzzled me that the citizens of Alaska receive benefits from the oil drilling carried out there, but not those of the gulf states. In reading about the situation Alaska has, it was mentioned that this was a 'redistribution of wealth'- yet Palin kind of waves the Oil Revenues in the face of the lower 48 imo. Has she been called out on this?

2. Actually, it sounds more like
COMMUNISM to me. The resources, or at least the income derived from the resources, is held in common by all residents of the state. That's effing communism.

3. guess she really can see "Russia from her window"-
:silly:

and thanks for the correction- I think you're correct. Socialism would be more deeds based and the dividend is the same regardless of the person I believe.

7. We, the US, lie to each other and ourselves about what socialism is.
One man, one vote, is socialism. Non-socialism would be he has more money, more family, more friends, more power, so he has more vote.
