The fish were eating the oil!
Went out offshore to see the oil coming in today. Lots of it nearing Destin. Fish were literally coming up and eating the stuff. They'll be sick or dead soon. Then those oil filled bodies will be eaten by other fish and dolphins...sigh.

They say the areas will be closed for fishing for 5 years now.

2. This is going to be very interesting to see

how this all plays out.

I want to see execs tried for murder to make others stop and think if they really want to take a chance.
People are losing their jobs, livelihoods, food chain severely altered, beaches and habitat destroyed, fish and wildlife murdered.

A company caught in lies and then they continue to lie to save money.

9. My freinds own restuarants and other businesses here
They all may lose everything. I know commercial fisherman who are being paid by BP now, but what about next year or the next 5 years?

I'm sick.

4. ... for at least five years.

They say there are other rigs out there that are like time bombs ticking away. They were built and run the same way this one was. The profit motive was their prime objective, safety and environmental considerations took a back seat. I think the Gulf is about to become the world's biggest cesspool.

The greedy finger pointing bastards.

7. It's hard to believe that a 21" hole in the bottom of the Gulf could
cause so much chaos and destruction. Further, the explosion was allowed to happen by decisions made by just a handful of men. How were they allowed to have such responsibility over all of the sea life
and human life that depended on the Gulf?

5. Conservatives shouldn't let Libtard nanny-state crybabies tell them where they can eat fish from.
CARBON IS LIFE!!!

Take Conservatives on fishing trips in the closed areas.

Tell them Limbaugh says oil is as natural as seawater.

Tell them Ben Stein says grab a fork, there's plenty more!

Just don't offer to cook the fish for them, because it might explode on the grill.

8. I say let them swim in it and slowly drift away.
I am just very tired of all the corruption in this country. This mess started with elected officials and has found its way through every facet of this country.

11. Thank you for your report
I'm so sorry. I love this state. My beach hq is in Ft Pierce on the east coast, computer models put the oil there by 4th of July weekend. Not sure I will be able to take my dog on morning beach walks anymore..but I plan to bring a pail and shovel to do what I can. Hey it won't be the first time I have cleaned up human detritus from the beach.
