Why isn't Bush's patriotism being questioned?
Pro torture stance. UnAmerican, no proof it worked as claimed, helps terrorist recruiting, puts US soldiers at risk.

Claimed taking out Saddam was the right thing to do. No mention of the campaign of lies which deceived the public into going along with the invasion. No mention of the corrupt occupation agenda which helped create the insurgency.

This is really sick. What sort of society pretends this is ok?

1. Society can but follow our President's instruction to "move forward"
and not prosecute torture.

2. The President is not a king
Nobody should pretend that betrayal of the public is ok because the current President wants to move on.

3. You asked. You want to revile Bush's pro-torture stance but forgive who doesn't want to prosecute.
It doesn't work both ways.

4. I think we are in agreement
President Obama is out of line. He pretends he is looking out for the public good by avoiding divisiveness but that is not true. Pretending everything is ok is actually a betrayal of the public.

5. Agreed.
Why have a judicial system if the best thing to do is "move on"?

7. even if the president prosecuted Bush's patriotism would not be questioned
in fact the president and anyone else who support prosecution would have their patriotism questioned.

9. Evidently he gets a pass
because corruption and public betrayal are sold to the public as acts of patriotism.

Any person that has money and power as their god, is white, republican, and has no soul, can not be tried for any crimes against humanity.

16. The same bunch of people who
call Obama every name in the book. Who make pictures of him as criminal etc. Who think that is OK, but mess their pants when someone says something negative about Bush, and all his suspected criminal actions as president.

For now he's escaping unscathed. But life has a way of hounding criminals. Karmic adjustments happen all the time. Sometimes they happen right away and sometimes they take years to happen.
