Just. Love. Appreciate. Learn. Share.
The whole world has been insane for at least a decade now. I used to bury my problems in a bottle. Now I just try and take it day by day.

I cannot:

control the Gulf
control Obama
control the World
control Republicans
control Democrats
control my Senators
control my Reps
control my bills
control my partner of 11 years
control the Supreme Court
control the media
control the Middle East
control anything else

But what I can control is how I behave, and how I interact with people. I'm trying the best I can to be a better person. I hope it makes a difference some day. Sometimes, you have to let go. At least for a little bit.

Love you all,
Matt

1. Some "first step" reminders, eh?
;-)

I find the steps pretty Tao-istic, actually. The only way to be really "present" and effective in the world is by letting go...

3. I guess I'm at step one?
I'm trying to let go, because my life is too damn miserable if I don't!

2. Matt, I often feel like I have to carry the weight of the world on my shoulders.
It puts me into a deep funk that sometimes takes me a while to get out of.

I need to change my behavior --I need to learn to let things go.
