http://edition.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/africa/06/10/congo.norwegians.sentenced/index.html?hpt=T1 London, England (CNN) -- Two Norwegians were sentenced to death Thursday in Congo, the Norwegian Foreign Ministry said, after what a human rights group called a "military show trial" that relied on evidence obtained through torture.
Joshua French, 28, who is also a British citizen, and Tjostolv Moland, 29, were convicted of murder, attempted murder, criminal conspiracy, armed robbery, and espionage, according to British legal charity Reprieve.
Both men have maintained their innocence.
Norway and Britain said Thursday they remain opposed to the death penalty and offered support to the men. <...>
Military show trials and evidence obtained trough torture. This is what generally passes as criminal justice these days, not only in Congo.

1. When you read the entire article |

it sounds like a horror film. I just don't think that they're guilty (from what this article presented), and it doesn't sound like there is enough evidence to convict them in a non-corrupt court of law. So, I hope that they can be diplomatically released from their sentences.
