OBAMA: "My power is not limitless." |
|
Edited on Sat Jun-12-10 10:37 AM by kpete
"Even though I'm president of the United States, my power is not limitless. So I can't dive down there and plug the hole. I can't suck it up with a straw." -- President Obama, quoted by the Washington Post, on the massive oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico. http://voices.washingtonpost.com/44/2010/06/obama-on-spill-i-cant-suck-it.html?wprss=44

what you're about to spend on some new aircraft drawfs the clean up cost.
Please note : I am NOT saying you should pay the clean up costs.......just drawing a comparison.

12. But you are in fucking charge of the response. Quit this victim shit |
|
If you can't respond the way we expect you to, then explain to the American people why. Show some balls and explain that we're at the mercy of whatever international conglomerates decide is best for their pocketbook. Explain why we're still bogged down in wars we can't afford while we say social security is bankrupt because we won't collect on the IOUs from thieves. Explain it. Explain how all that money went to criminal banksters and all the big guys are the real victims of an uncooperating populace.
For your own good, get a new PR person.

13. President Strawman Begging For a Little Slack. |
|
One minute he takes complete responsibility, and the next he claims he can't do a fucking thing. And somewhere between the two, he let BP clusterfuck their way to environmental armageddon instead of taking control of the problem away from them when it was clear - after the first few days! - that they didn't have a fucking clue how to fix it. Could anyone else have handled the problem better than BP? Shame we'll never know.
And let's see exactly what the government will demand from BP in return for the worst man-made environmental disaster in history.

16. I don't know but what I do know is |
|
I have been fighting against SB1070 and done all I can to get information about it and the real problems with it. I have tried to post where I can, and done radio shows with people in the know about it, but I watch as it has dropped off the radar. Rachel, Keith, and others have become so consumed with the oil leak that little else makes their shows, and while I am deeply concerned about the oil gusher (remember I am from that area and have friends and family there) I also think we are going to help make sure this horrible law will not be stopped. I don't know how we can stop the oil gusher but I do know we can more likely stop 1070 if we really get our act together. I think the President has disappointed in many ways, but honestly the American People (yes even the left) have gotten to where I don't know if they are capable of resolving problems anymore.

would have dived right on down there and sucked up all that oil for us. He loves it, after all.
Course then we'd most likely be knee deep in Iranian and American soldier's blood instead, in a THIRD war against muslims. :nuke:
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
