Jesus H Christ, now I've heard it all! Either this is the biggest poll of bullshit ever, or we might as well start a new party. That would work, right? :sarcasm:

3. This is another "Dem's are in trouble" story. They so want to have a repeat of 1994.
It isn't going to happen no matter how hard the try and push that meme.

22. Because free market Reaganisn is a failure. Because there is no invisible hand.
Because all humans are supposed to have equal rights.

Because we really are destroying our habitat and pushing more species to extinction.

Because we really do need clean, available, and renewable energy.

Because no one should be homeless or hungry.

Because every child deserves a quality public education.

Because science does matter.

Because imperialism really is toxic.

Because the gulf between wealth and poverty grows every day.

Because we all need nutritious food, potable water, and clean air.

Because there is no fair balance between right and wrong.

Because a billion Chinese can be wrong and so can a bunch of Americans.

Because we are losing jobs far faster than they can be created.

Because one opinion is not as good as another, there are provable facts.

Because people should come first, not "stakeholders".

Because the "stakeholders" are fucking monsters.

That's a few to start.

This economic crisis has not helped. Many Americans are now in survival mode which translates into being more conservative.

most just mindlessly react and are easily manipulated by the media, talk show hosts, friends, relatives, etc.

27. I suspect the public believes "liberal" means "in favor of big government."
Which it doesn't, of course. Liberals want better government. But the narrative has long been controlled by conservatives.

11. The Rs spent several decades educating the public with buzzwords.
They molded an entire generation to believe that only St. Ronnie stood between them and the Evil Empire and a godless land. Rs hold the wealth of this nation and own the institutions. They are the party of money. Our pushback has been feeble for some time now.

Edited on Mon Jun-14-10 03:30 PM by Marr
"49% of Americans", not "49% of Democrats".

Of course Republicans think Democrats are too liberal. That's why they're Republicans. They also say 40% of Americans think Republicans are too conservative, but I noticed they phrased that as "four in ten" instead.

20. 49 Percent of Neanderthals think Cro -Magnons too liberal. Liberal bad, head smashing good.
I would like someone to tell me something that liberals have called for

that hasn't been validated as in "off shore drilling is dangerous."

Time after time after time, our warnings, our predictions, our causes, have become part of the facts of life.
