Tweety, Breaux and Lott were enough to make you physically ill
tonight. Lott and Breaux were their normal lobbyist best, sitting there with shit-eating grins and drawlin' on about how bad "big gubmint" is when regulations are the answer. Tweety, of course, came with a rubberband and spitballs and no facts. It was all about how much we need deep sea drilling for national security and that the Gulf supplies 27% of our energy (I thought we exported the larger percentage of domestically produced oil). Would not entertain any notion of the availability of other energy resources or jobs to replace those in the oil industry.

1. I've found Tweety, even when he does his job as devil's advocate,
to be largely useless. I give him a miss. I watch Olberman but rarely and Maddow only when she's got a good story by the tail.

Once you get out of the habit of watching televised news, you're really over it, all of it.

2. Tweet never prepares...he's all ego.
Frankly, I'm not sure what he believes because he's all over the place, depending on the state of his bi-polarity on any particular day. What he does have is an enormous ego...and any semi-skilled political/PR person knows how to play this guy. Stroke his ego and he's Mr. Softball. He's not nearly as smart as he thinks he is. Rachael Maddow ought to be in his slot

3. Any one of them alone is enough.
Together? No thanks!

5. Matthews disagreed with Breaux and Lott every step of the way
When they insisted that we've experienced 60 years of safe deep water drilling, Matthews responded that John Wilkes Booth had a good record until he did what he did.

They sparred the whole time and Matthews ended by asserting that they disagreed and that if those two agreed with him (Matthews) they wouldn't be working as lobbyists for oil companies.

I recently said here at DU that Tweety likes to kiss the ass he's with. But today, he made Lott and Breaux uncomfortable, imo.
