Why don't we ask other countries for ideas to stop the disaster in the gulf?

1. I just don't understand it. If this is such a big deal why wont the rest of the world help?
EVERYONE knows that if this happened somewhere else and WE as a country did not help we would hear about it!

2. What makes you think we haven't? Other nations have been involved almost since this began.
Energy corporations are global, and so are their subcontractors, people all around the globe have been involved.

Our country had been involved in finding expertise offshore, other countries have offered help.

5. BP has already done that.
Other nations are not any smarter since they have not had any oil spills 5000 feet deep.
