Postal worker vanishes, is found dead in trash
Source: San Francisco Chronicle

(06-15) 09:18 PDT HAYWARD -- A postal employee who disappeared from work Monday in Hayward and was later found dead in a garbage transfer station was identified today as Nancy Rogers, 61, of Fremont.
Rogers worked as a clerk with the U.S. Postal Service for 43 years, most recently at the Hayward post office on Santa Clara Street, said Hillary Rickher, an inspector with the postal service.

"It's being treated as a suspicious death," Rickher said. "We're still not clear on how or why this happened, and we're looking at all options."

Rickher said an autopsy was being performed today to determine the cause of death. Hayward police are leading the investigation.

6. BS - Oakland and Hayward are both fine cities, no more dangerous than any other
This is just veiled racism as far as I'm concerned.

9. What a crock.
She was AT WORK when she disappeared. They found a dumpster from her place of work had been emptied, that's how they knew to look at the transfer station.

11. Does anyone know if that young woman who worked at East Bay
Mail Plus outlet ever turned up? She disappeared, too, and her boss seemed to be the suspect. Saw that about a month ago. A young Asian girl who disappeared the day before her birthday, maybe?
