1. Their yearly income pre-disaster multiplied by the number of years it will take

the gulf eco system to recover.

Fish might stay dangerous to humans for years to come.

2. BP should "buy them out"

pay them 3 years wages..UN TAXED, buy their house/business.etc & pay to move them elsewhere..

Better to move NOW, and get a new life started, than to spend the next decade languishing at dead end jobs, while "waiting" for safe fishing to return..

The homes/businesses bought out, should be demolished & the land allowed to heal naturally.....never again to be rebuilt upon..
