Bomb Attack Kills 2 US Service Members in Northern Afghanistan (30 Dead This Month)
Source: Today Online

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) - A military spokesman says two U.S. service members have been killed in a bomb attack in northern Afghanistan.

U.S. forces spokesman Lt. Col. Joseph T. Breasseale confirmed the deaths but did not provide further details.

June is shaping up to be one of the deadliest months for U.S. troops in the nearly 9-year-old Afghan war as insurgents launch more attacks in response to a NATO push into Taliban strongholds in the south. Including the latest deaths, 30 American service members have died so far this month.

1. Yes, but think of all the FREEDOM
that low cost lithium laptop batteries from Afghan mineral deposits will bring us. And don't forget, iPads/Pods/Phones use those batteries too.

5. More soldiers have been wounded under Obama than the previous
Edited on Wed Jun-16-10 07:59 AM by tekisui
entirety of the war. We focus on the deaths, but the wounded are escalating at an even high rate. For the past year over 100 have been wounded every month, 3 of those months were 200-300, and 3 of those months were over 300.

Before Obama's surge 2815 had been wounded in Afghanistan.

Since then, 2900+ have been wounded. We will likely see 1,000+ US dead in Afghanistan for just this year.

It is most definitely Obama's War.

6. The longest war in U.S. history
Who would have thought the war in Afghanistan would have lasted longer than Viet Nam?

When will we ever learn?
