I was disappointed in the speech. I wish it had been more pointed and with a greater push away from fossil fuels, but I am equally or more disappointed in MSNBC's crew and the media in general. MSNBC, CNN, FOX, et al are looking for ratings and the ad revenue driven by those ratings (hence the Keith vs Billo pseudo conflict and alike). I like Rachel, I think she is pretty good, but these are opinion shows not news shows (although occasionally there is some shred of news involved). My thanks to them, but I can form my own opinion on issues and really don't need their help to know I wanted a different speech or listen to them dissect every word & nuance of what was said and wasn't.

I will watch the President on C-Span or through other means and then I will form my own opinions. I will then contact my representatives when I feel the need and I will vote (or this year perhaps not) as I deem appropriate.
