1. This is great news
The Teabaggers will now run with "shakedown" while the people BP fucked will be talking about how great it is they're getting the money they need and aren't having to wait twenty years for it to get through the courts before being compensated, as was the case with Exxon Valdez.

2. This is a Wonderful
Opportunity for the right to throw water on the energy policies needed by this country. I hope Reps like Markey do't allow it.

4. I was screaming obscenities at the television. Scared my poor cats half to death.
Because I don't DO that unless it's college football season.

8.  instead of scaring your pets, get what I got
Whenever I get irritated while watching a game or some right wing wack a doodle spewing crap on my tv, I have a set of foam rubber bricks that I hurl at the screen.
But I must admit, there are times like now (ie Barton) when it doesn't help completely regardless of how many times I throw them.

7. That deaf, dumb, and blind kid sure plays a mean pinball.
They'll love him in Texas. It's not such a smart thing to pull on a national basis, though, and will cost him some support in Texas, too.

Way to go, Congressperson Barton. Yes, indeed. We're seeing where you come from. Enjoy your royalties, you schmuck!

11. And let me guess . . .
Barton was one of those "outraged" when Obama bowed upon being introduced to some foreign leader. In Joe Barton's world, you don't show deference to other leaders, just the money they command. And Tony Hayward commands a lot of money, so Joe's bowing and scraping for all he's worth. Which admittedly isn't all that much.

13. And some will believe the 'shakedown' lie!
Do they hate their fellow Americans on the Gulf Coast? They don't want them to be helped?
