"Well Mr. Chairman, he did answer that today is Thursday."
OH FUCKING SNAP!

First question from this Congressman was asking Hayward if it was Thursday.

String of questions after and Hayward stonewalls.

Last statement from the Congressman ended up as my subject line!

5. I'm thinking Waxman told him "I don't think Hayward would answer
if you asked him whether or not today was Thursday." and this congressman took him up on the bet.

2. Context, please.
Did a Democrat or a Republican congressman ask Hayward if today was Thursday?

And, the quote in your subject line: Who said that and why was he telling the chairman that?

4. It was a Democratic Congressman
Didn't catch his name.

He opened by asking Hayward if it was Thursday. Hayward agreed, it is Thursday.

He then went into the questioning about specifics. EVERY answer is "ongoing investigation".

The Democratic Congressman finshed up, turned to Chairman Waxman and said what became my subject line.
