I am in "awe" (listening to the MarK Levine Show so you don't have to) |
|
Well one part of this history of labor is to look at the underbelly of the RW propaganda machine. So today I started doing this informally, no not taking notes yet, that is coming, and I am in awe.
There is a piece of good nooze here. Obama is a SOCIALIST, COMMUNIST, OH MY GOD, PROTECT WOMEN AND CHILDREN must not be working. So mark Levine starts with a Venezuela story... (which I would have to go check, even if some of this has happened... so insert a little truth, and Mark Levine for all things Venezuela?) Anyhow Venezuelan troops went into a pro Chavez poor area of town to confiscate food to be sold at higher rates than those authorized.... to be followed with the salt shaker please.
------> into bad comparisons territory we now go, and bizarro land.
Well he will no longer call them any kind of ism, beyond tyranny and STATISM... (hint that is an ancient Poli Sci term, he must have re-opened his text book or most likely Luntz did)... and MY GOD if we keep doing this health care, since our central planners are not happy, and regulating the oil industry **** it is lack of regulations that led to this disaster***** and taxing, they will never be happy. I mean CENTRAL planners are never happy until they control all. And we must fight for LIBERTY against this soft tyranny.
Ergo, Obama IS Chavez....
Now please all hilarity to ensue, but boy was this sleekly done. And apart of the fact that I was going... NO... this was so well done that a person that has no fracking clue of what Levine is saying... will be easily convinced.
On the bright side he admitted that he did not come up with Statism, just that he was reviving it. To me this means COMMUNIST AND SOCIALIST ain't polling well with focus groups.
Yes I will have to take this ahem more seriously and ... actually take notes, but driving and notes taking is not a good idea. Hell driving and trying not to laugh might qualify as multi-tasking.

1. I've heard his show before... |
|
...and it is seemingly a mess of random stories that somehow lead to Obama hating freedom. But your post was even harder to follow than his show...haha.

listening to these yahoos in a while Though he is easier to listen to than oh Rush... or for god sakes, Savage, so he might be a good get into it routine...
I can't believe I am doing this... I will also have to sigh up for more than just the AFA.... I think the GOP might be a good one to join. Hey nothing better than getting the talking points straight from the horses mouth, or is this just an elephant?

7. Levine is the one I'm least able to listen to - aside from the content, his voice |
|
makes me want to fill my ears with cement. Savage is the worst for truly god-awful content, but he's sort of amusing because the mechanism is so clearly on display: the fake melancholy, followed by the fake getting angry, with the fake serious intellectual commentary. It's all turned up a few notches more than the other blatherers. I also think he is genuinely in need of some sort of psychiatric treatment...

8. Truly vile. I wrote my local radio station to ask why this guy has been given |
|
a microphone when it is clear that misinformation and ridicule are what he's selling. Irresponsible to broadcast him IMO.

9. I'll See your Levine and Raise you One Michael Savage.... |
|
Going on this afternoon about his "simple" father's day.
Taking his boat out on the bay, then under the golden gate, then to fisherman's wharf for dinner, then home.
The simple life, see?
Then he warns listeners to keep life simple, "those who pray for more than they need are liable to find things taken away from them".
