It is time to honor Pat Tillman
Edited on Tue Jun-22-10 08:21 AM by SpiralHawk
Sack Gen. McChrystal (R) and the republicons who dumped all over this honorable man and the service he gave to his country, and the way McChrystal and the republicons deliberately covered up the truth about US Army Ranger Tillman and his service to America.

3. BushInc saw his sincerity, genuineness and tried to steal it for themselves. Corpmedia helped them
do it and played it exactly the way BushInc scripted it for them.

4. What really happened to Pat Tillman?
From 60 Minutes - The Government Still hasn't Told the Truth

"(CBS) Pat Tillman was a heroic face of the war on terror - an NFL star who left behind a $3.6 million contract and his new wife to fight for his country after the attacks of Sept. 11. When he died in Afghanistan on April 22, 2004, the Army told his family he'd been killed by enemy fire after courageously charging up a hill to protect his fellow Army Rangers.

But as Katie Couric reports, that story didn't hold up. He had really been killed by friendly fire, shot accidentally by his fellow soldiers..." (snip)

6. His tragic death was exploited
He didn't need their phony posthumous medal--he was a hero for the way he lived his life.

7. Sadly, it was exploited - and further
the question of whether it was friendly fire or something else sinister was never investigated.

12. Pat Tillman is an authentic hero. How he died is irrelevant. That people who
never considered serving themselves attempted to attach his heroic life to themselves is a true crime.
