Sorry to be a bummer. But unless he gets fired (and I'm in the camp saying he won't be), then what will happen is that half of DU will say it shows how week Obama is in the face of opposition, and the other half will applaud it as a wise, cunning move that mere mortals will never be able to understand and that anyone who disagrees is a progressive disrupter who is a liberal version of a teabagger. This latter group will say this even if many of them as it sits today, called for his firing.

Right now, nobody in either camp is saying he shouldn't be fired. You would have a point if the more Obama critical posters on here were suggesting that. But the most anyone is suggesting is that he doesn't have the backbone to fire McChrystal, not that he shouldn't because McChrystal is a liberal.

I'm not saying the Obama critical group is going to admit they were wrong about him, but the idea that they'll accuse him of firing McChrystal because he's liberal has no evidence of that anywhere on here now. By all means, point me in the direction of such posts if they are there because I'm curious if that is the case. I've seen none so far, though.
