1. As a manager for the past quarter century...
You ALWAYS accept the resignation. IF they feel they must resign, they are no longer of value to the organization.

5. I say FIRE him before he can give you the resignation...

...make it as public and embarrassing as possible.

2. Accept with pleasure.
McChrystal should just fax it to him ASAP. Be done with this.

3. I'll bet he does. He's ready for his Pity Party to begin once he turns it in.
Fox News is probably all revved up for the Parade...

16. "Old soldiers never die ... they just fade away."
No doubt Fox will throw him a Douglass McArthur retirement party.

4. Good. He has done far too much damage.
The problem is, Obama will be left holding Afghanistan. Screw McChrystal and whatever he says after he resigns.

Who will replace McChrystal and what will the directive from Obama be?

17. Probably his 2nd in command, at least temporarily.
As for Obama's directive, I don't know, but I wish he'd just call it quits and get us out of there, although I don't expect that to happen.

6. My bet? As usual, Joe the Liar Klein is just assuming McChrystal does have it ready...
...given the circumstances, it's highly likely McChrystal would go in with the resignation to hand in...Joe has no sources, just trying to make it sound like he's connected by essentially stating what is obvious.

10. Safe bet. You always offer to resign in that situation. It's how the game works.
Klein is just moving his lips because he likes the way words tickle when he says them.

11. I don't know if he's lying or not,
but it would be SOP for a senior officer in that much trouble to submit his resignation. I'd be surprised if he didn't, but of course, we're talking about Gen Gianormous McEgo, so who knows!

14. Klein opened his mouth, didn't he? Then he's lying...
...General mcEgo has gotten away with a lot so far, so maybe he figures he's just gonna get away with more.

18. Udate from Time Magazine to CNN:
McChrystal has offered to submit his resignation, but has not submitted it yet, which is what Klein said to Sanchez.
