Opinions are not facts. There really isn't much point in arguing with someone who thinks opinions are proof of truth.

8. McChrystal made a smart move
These guys take their careers and their legacy seriously. As a friend of mine put it "It's better to be remembered for being fired for insubordination than to be remembered as the guy who led the world's most high tech army to defeat by Afghan hillbillies with 30 year old Kalishnikovs. The next guy can take the blame for the defeat."

Out of Afghanistan now. It's unwinnable. Generals are telling you so. Stop coveting thy neihbor's goods and get out of there now.
