Who is the winner of the race to the bottom for screwiest Congresscritter? (I know--so many candidates, so little time, but I think these are plausibly the top two.)

Louie Louie was recently on about Obama being Hitler and Thomas Sowell being *so* a person he'd have made president as was recently Youtubed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQgqhntf-1E

He's also been known to talk about demons.

But Steve King has been on a weirdly racist roll lately, with sound bites that racistly imply Obama is racist: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGflfQi53SE and that telltale shoes or psychic powers can help one spot undocumented immigrants (this is obviously not what he calls them) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMuuMZH4gWw .

Both of them have a lot of kinks in their Slinky--but who is screwier? Or if you have a vote for more screwy--who is it and why?

I know there will be a lot of votes for Michele Bachmann, and she strikes me as awfully screwy, but so much of it seems to stem from her having no idea what she's talking about I don't really want to chalk all her nonsense up to being merely outrageous for outrage's sake.... sometimes I suspect her of not knowing any better.

2. The first time I noticed him was when he had an actual hand-drawn sign

sitting on his lap at the same presidential speech where Joe Wilson said "You lie!" , which said something to the effect of "What bill?" I found myself surprised that he was confused about the content of the bill, since, being in Congress, he obviously had a lot of access to it, and that he thought that having a sign that he obviously drew himself would look really good and professional on camera. I think he took that sign home and hung it on his fridge with an alphabet magnet. And his wife (or handler?) gave him a sticker that smelled like grapes and commended him for not doing anything *worse*. "Yay--You Used Your Words!"

3. I just emailed Gohmert's office

I said he was the most ignorant person in Congress, and that he was an embarrassment to all educated Texans. I told him to stop watching Glen Beck.

4. I'm not sure if he watches Glen Beck, or if the chip in his head does.

And then he follows the voice on the chip--he is different in some ways from what we expect of a sentient being, but very like what one might surmise from a being that took all of its information from a very biased right-wing. He's a No-Bot.
