Robert McGovern was working as a prosecutor in the Manhattan District Attorney's office on September 11, 2001. A former linebacker in the National Football League and a member of the Army Reserve, Capt. McGovern immediately requested to be mobilized for active duty. In his book, he contends that the war in Iraq should not be abandoned and relays his experiences on the ground to establish his argument. Capt. McGovern discusses his book with former Congressman, cabinet secretary, and VP candidate Jack Kemp.

Stephen Prothero, Religious Literacy: What Every American Needs to Know -- And Doesn't
In his book, professor Stephen Prothero writes that while the United States is a deeply religious nation, few Americans understand the basics of Christianity and other major world religions. Prothero advocates teaching religion in public schools, which he says will help Americans address domestic and foreign challenges facing the country.
