5. Had Obama appointed a qualified expert ..
..with a track record of protecting the Environment to that position (Dept of Interior), the Gusher in the Gulf might have been prevented.

Appointing a crony politician (DLC Salazar)) with a record of siding WITH deregulation and lax enforcement WAS a signal to the extraction industries that the Obama Administration was NOT going to rock the corporate boat.

7. Salazar is a non-crazyass fundie Watt
From the first mention of the nominations, I knew Reagan would be cheering from hell for Salazar and Vilsack.

Caveat for sychopants: I want Obama to succeed and voted for POTUS Obama in primaries and general, gave $, and lost friends.

These appointments gobsmacked me.

The biggest cover ultimately given to BP will be corrupted NEPA process.
