The right is turning against the wars...now is the time!

This would seal the deal, too hard for even diebold to steal.

1. Screw that reason. He should get out now.
And in the longer term, Dems would be better off -- less upset among the base, and lower deficits.

3. The right ....
...is doing no such thing. One off-hand -- or out-of-mind -- comment by Steele, and Ron Paul, don't make 'the right is turning against the wars'.

They've never met a war they didn't like. Check out all the threads at Red State or Free Republic advocating withdrawl.

And an 'immediate' departure wouldn't happen in time anyways. Election day is less than 40 months away.

5. also Ann Coulter
and this is interesting...

Joe Scarborough and Pat Buchanan explain the fault line
forming Republican Party? They are accurate when they
say the true Conservative Position would not have supported
the current wars. He attributes the wars to Neocons, emphasizing
current GOPers, Cheney, McCain, Bush.

They further predict the GOP after the midterms will change
and the Classic Conservatives will hold sway in Republican
Party. The Republican Party will be the Anti-War Party.
They will be the Party of RESTRAINT. Restraint in War Polich
Restraint in Fiscal Policy and Restraint in vitriolic speech.
In other words, Neocons down and Classic Conservatives rule.

"Did the Liberals not warn us --the NeoCons will keep us
in endless war? ".....Ann Coutler

10. Gosh! This sounds like as though the Old Republicans are
trying to get their party back! Too good to be true?
Maybe then the Neocons will finally call themselves
by their true name, and try to form a Third Party.

6. Well when we get out of the quagmires then there will be billions
Which can be used to put back into the hands of the American people and boost the economy. The trillions spent on unnecessary wars is what is killing the economy. That main issue being the economy would turn and in turn imporve the feelings of people towards Obama.

Exactly, but they never talk about that.

..but they are so concerned about the deficit they need to cut off the unemployed, elderly, and disabled...

They need to stop with the "Emergency" supplementals to the already bloated pentagon budget, there are real emergencies going on with Americans right here at home.

9. Couldn't agree more
The war economy will never look like it did in the 30 and 40's which they want us to believe. The work programs is what got us out of the depression and the new deal. If they truly want to end the deficits then why not make a national building spree work programs like FDR? The need for new infrastructure is wildly needed and can be achieved through hard work and initiative from people in government. A building of light rail systems could ease transportation costs and decrease air pollution etc. The trillions on the war need to be put into our hands so we can get us out of the recession, and the taking money away from us aka no more unemployment checks is hurting even more.

You need money to spend money in order to create jobs. When that money is bein thrown into the ME, it is not creating jobs or being helpful at all.

8. A better reason to get out now is because we lost.
Unfortunately, politicians and generals are loathe to admit the obvious.
