Interesting observation about MSNBC "Morning Joe" promos... |
|
I caught this a few weeks ago when they began running the Tom Colburn "I don't know why anyone trusts us!" promos for Joe.
Notice the original clip, as they first show it -- no on-screen graphics. But when they show Coburn claiming that he doesn't know why "anyone trusts us," the clip has a big (R) Tom Coburn on it.
I thought that was interesting then, but didn't see much to it. Until I saw the latest Joe promo featuring David Axelrod. In this ad, Axelrod schools Joe and explains why the Republicans are just obstructionists who wouldn't vote for anything Obama did, not matter what.
So, the point is...what's the deal? Is MSNBC trying to lure liberal/progressive viewers by claiming that Joe is a lefty show? Or are they more committed to Ed and KO and Rachel, and using the promos for Joe's much-hated morning show to help bolster their supposed liberal cred?
Hmmm. No conclusion. Just an observation.

1. All I know about Mornin' Joe is this............ |
|
I tuned in this morning for the first time in a couple of weeks and EVERYBODY in the studio was talking loudly about something - about what I have no idea!
I just as quickly turned the channel and kept surfing!
