Mild rant, mild reflection, mild observation.

Why was FDR successful? Because by the time he got into office, the repubs had basically destroyed the economy. This is why the Dems held sway in congress for so many years, why FDR was elected to 4 terms, why various work programs were passed, why prohibition was over turned, etc...

Although morons* legacy of wanton destruction still haunts us today, he* got out before the full effect of his failure landed square in our laps.

This is why we have the ape-shit insane justifications, by the right, of who caused the recession/depression. They point all sorts of fingers at Obama because the full wave of fiscal irresponsibility crashed on his shore and not on morons*.

If it has landed on morons lap, that would have basically completely and totally destroyed the repubs for at least a generation or more, but alas...

So here we are. Caught in the insane era of revisionist history via the right and them trying to blame the cause of our budgetary problems on the Dems and Obama.

Will this end? Nope. Will it get worse? Yup.

Sadly, this is how I see things play out.

We lose control of the senate in November. Come 2012, we lose the presidency. (I have no idea to whom, so don't ask).

The economy picks up or shall I say, drops off where moron* left off.

We will look back at the US today, in 2010, as a Disneyland as what it will compare to in 2013. Their tried and true methods of cutting taxes for the rich and deficit spending will balloon. The devision between rich and poor will grow exponentially. The middle class will vanish.

By 2016, our nation will be in toilet. But at least this time around, it will be so deeply in the toilet, it will be impossible to pin it on anyone else other than the repubs.

Sadly, this is what is needed. Like everything in this nation, it takes a good solid kick to the head before we as a nation, collectively wake up and do something.

We are heading for dark times, but oddly, necessary dark times. If we are to preserve what wreckage is still left of our society, the repubs need to fail and fail in a spectacular fashion that leaves no doubt of their inability to do anything for the people of this nation.

From the ashes of repuke rule, will rise a progressive front, pushing aside the conservadems and once again attending to what needs to be attended to: the people.

Make sure you have a garden and learn how to jar food. It will be a wise thing to know.

I just stated why we are getting the grief we are getting and the only way for the repubs to take full responsibility is for them to fail completely.

Do you honestly think a Dem will be in office forever?

As soon as another repuke is in office, do you think things are going to be all rosy?

The economy, you can bet your ass, will tank.
