Repeal and start over...
same old song and dance. Why are these guys (repuglicans)getting paid, they haven't done anything except cause trouble and say no since Obama was elected. They've done no work on anything. WTF?!?!

Boehner: Wall Street Reform Should Be Repealed

They're not campaigning on it in earnest -- at least not yet -- but Republican leaders say that, given the power, they would like to do away with Wall Street reform much like they have already discussed repealing health care reform.

"I think it ought to be repealed," said House Minority Leader John Boehner, in response to a question from TPMDC, at his weekly press conference this morning.

One of his top lieutenants, Republican Conference Chair Mike Pence agrees. "We hope falters so we can start over," Pence told TPMDC yesterday. "I think the reason you're not hearing talk about efforts to repeal the permanent bailout authority is because the bill hasn't passed yet."

The Senate is expected to pass the final bill and send it off to the President this afternoon. But, despite Republican posturing, the President's signature isn't likely to touch off another broad GOP push for repeal. Unlike health care reform, Wall Street reform is broadly popular -- even with some in the GOP base. The problem for Republicans is that they've dug in deeply, railing against what they call a "permanent bailout bill." It stands to reason that, if the bill truly does institutionalize bailouts, Republicans would want to repeal it. But some aren't willing to say that too loudly.

1. Could the GOP House find a newer stuffed toy than Boehner? I think that little
ring you pull on his back is stuck on 'Repeal and start over'.

5. You're kidding right? They've done LOADS of hard work....
No public option and guaranteed profitability of the insurance industry and big pharma just for starters.

I would say they've been working pretty hard.

8. I say what did the republicans do for the years from 1994 to 2006
about passing a health care bill or a wall street reform, or anything about regulating the mines, the oil companies. Nada, zilch. AND now after the Democrats have passed these bills and are going strong on the other regulations to be passed THEY say they could do better. HA HA HA ...You know something, ever time you look at Boehner he looks hung over. Can it be he is? He has that look about him, maybe that's why he spray tans himself to take away from the pallor.
