I find the possibility that Fiorini could replace Boxer and that bagger Johnson could replace
Feingold, frightening. I hope that both of them can pull it off, but no one should be shocked if they aren't.

1. If the Democrats lose those seats, it will indicate without doubt the country has shifted far right
It will also indicate the failure of the Democratic party to get their message out

2. It will also indicate people have 'very' short memories, are uninformed,
or really don't care. If the latter is the case, I wish they'd just stay home.

6. Both Boxer and Feingold are smart enough to give reminders....
Like those 30,000 jobs Fiorina shipped overseas when she ran Hewlett-Packard. I cannot believe the people of California didn't run Fiorina out of town on a rail for that, let alone consider voting her into a Senate seat.

10. I also believe that both Feingold and Boxer will win. I am from California, and I just don't see
Fiorina winning

9. what it indicates to me
is people want quick and easy solutions to tough problems, and that they often think about things they don't understand, like the economy which most of us don't fully understand including myself, in very simplistic terms because that's all they can think about it in.

So appeals to cut taxes and cut spending resonate even when they are really both bad ideas.

4. "This woman FIRED thousands and replaced them with cheap labor."
And if Californians can see past that fact and let her off the hook . . . well, then I have no hope. Let the foot-shooting parade begin. America is going to collectively experience the consequences of being a battered slowwwwwwww learner.

5. People like "us" are going to have to dig deep....
... in the future for *any* progressive DEMs to remain electorally competitive.

A huge portion of the electorate.... much of which voted for Obama... is not attentive and/or analytical.

These races will be won/lost according to what kind of ad buys the good guys can make.

8. While I don't disagree entirely with you, in my state
my all progressive congressional delegation is in no trouble at all, and they won't be in the future.

7. And that wingnut Angle could land in the Senate!
It's frightening how far off the rails this country could go as a result of 1 election.

12. I'm worried about Wisconsin--Johnson is on the air constantly and barely
a peep out of Feingold. If the GOP does have a wave election Russ will probably go down. We'll be working to make sure that doesn't happen.

13. I'm a little worried about Washington state too
though Murray is running against two time loser and a real pig in Dino Rossi, polls show them in a dead heat. Going on past performance, I would expect Patty to eventually pull away and win by about 4-6%, but this is going to be a strange year and anything is possible. So I'm concerned.
