1. Funny- especially the assumption that fighting poverty is desirable. |

I mean, it's one of those things that seems so basic that you'd never question it. Took me a long time to see that alot of people want to maintain high levels of poverty. They're what Bush called his "base"; the have's and the have-more's.

They need all those poor uneducated workers for their profit base.

5. That's less than 1% of Bill Gates' pile |

Same for the Waltons, and the richest 50 Sauds.
We're all suckers.

6. We could plant a million hardwood trees across America |

The next generation would thank us for the trees, but not the war.

8. $100 is less than Halliburton charges the military |
|
To wash one load of laundry (and do a lousy job of it at that).
Not to mention $275 million should have bought decent body armor, IED resistant transport, and comprehensive medical care for the injured.
Way to "support our troops", you stinking criminals.

11. I wish we had microloans here. If i had been able to borrow $3000 in 1994 ..... |
|
....I'd have been able to be self sufficient the rest of my life. I wouldn't have been fortune 500 ever but I would have had a great business that could employ 12 or so.
As it is a French Company came along and did my Idea in 1999 and now all that money is lost to the USA economy and will Never return.
