many of the insightful comments are superb. I think one would have to go a long way to find any site I have ever seen that compares to the quality of DU. And a lot of thanks, an awful lot of thanks have to go to the Mods that work to keep the site relevant.

I've been a member of some sites that just eroded into a bunch of name calling and crap. DU stays above that making it an enjoyable place for all sorts of news and commentary. Also, the design of the site and the performance are outstanding.

That's because we represent so many different walks of life that anyone can be and expert at any given moment.

I remember reading a post by a DUer who'd bought home a second cat, and the first cat was giving it a very hard time. I got up to answer the phone, and when I refreshed the page less than ten minutes later, there was a string of replies from multiple-cat DUers as long as my arm!

DU is still the BEST site on the net even when there is 'family' in-fighting on occasion. It is the best place to get the FACTS as well as the rumors, DUers wit is tops, always. I learn something new every day I log on.
