Boehner Unsure If Three Siblings Have Jobs

House minority leader John Boehner understands the unemployment situation on a very personal level. Three of his eleven siblings, he says, lost jobs during this recession. But he doesn't know if they've found new ones! Maybe he should call them?
From The Hill:

(QUOTE: ) "House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) revealed on Wednesday that three of his brothers lost their jobs during the recession.

Boehner, who has 11 siblings, said he's not sure whether the three brothers remain unemployed.

'I've got real empathy for those who are unemployed, as most of you know I've got 11 brothers and sisters. I know that three of my brothers lost their jobs, I'm not sure whether they've found jobs, yet, so I've got a lot of empathy for those caught in this economic downturn,' Boehner said. ( :UNQUOTE)

Eh, ask 'em at Thanksgiving.

Good luck in the job market to all of the potentially unemployed Boehnerati! (Psst: Maybe have your powerful congressman brother get you jobs, hmm?)

3. Conservatroid 'family values' on display
I'm not that close to my siblings, but I don't pontificate on 'family values' either. My lack of closeness to my family notwithstanding, I would still fucking well know if any of my siblings were out of work. Jeez!

16. Family Values indeed. That is such Republicon bullshit
It's right up there with their claim to be 'conservatives' when in fact they borrowed-and-spent America, and their own party, into the crapper for years to come...while doing everything they could to block the actual conservation of the environment we all depend upon for life.

Ptoooey on republicon BS about 'values' and 'conservative'

A total, deliberate pack of hooey.

19. If Bohner has a credible opponent in the general that fact should work against him.
If he's out of touch with his siblings (family) then how can he be in touch with working people?

And possibly use the same line in general with the Republican House members for Democrats in other districts.

Has time to get sun and golf in Florida and who knows where else but not time for the family.

21. Empathy usually means trying to walk in another person's shoes...
can't do that when one doesn't know where or what those shoes are doing? How can one have empathy if you have no idea about the path those shoes are currently walking? Makes him look even less empathetic and more out of touch.

24. Geezus..... I'm not exactly close with my brother
But at least I know that he's gainfully employed. And he knows that I'm not.

Says a lot about Ohio, really. If the Repuke politicians there don't even know when their own fucking family is jobless, how do you expect them to know about the rest of the district.
