I just made an offering to the county Democratic Party
Let me explain the situation here before I tell you what the item is, but I think you--and they--will enjoy it greatly.

Phil Hart is my state representative. This is the guy who puts "puke" in rePUKE. He's on the Tax and Revenue Commission, which wouldn't be bad in itself but he also thinks income tax is unconstitutional--sooooooo, he stopped paying it three or four years ago. (His argument is wages and salaries are not "income" according to the original intent of the law, which is nice except the first page of the Internal Revenue Code says they're income now.) With interest and penalties, he owes the US Government and the State of Idaho $660,000.

Read that again: Six hundred and sixty thousand dollars he owes. Gonzaga University offers a tax-lawyer school, and the professor owns a tax-law firm. She says she has NEVER had a customer who owed $600,000 in back taxes.

He is going before an ethics committee, and he claims he's absolutely right. So...I sent an email to the county party offering to donate a Phil Hart Signature Model sledgehammer, just like the one he's going to be breaking rocks with once the ethics committee is done with him.
