i just read that article about the plastic sea, twice the size of texas, and I felt a strong urge to do this. today is mother's day. not to take anything away from the deserving mothers walking the planet, but let's send a little love and appreciation to OUR MOTHER EARTH.

We are all brothers and sisters under her, Mother Earth. She is our life blood and she sustains us. Without her, we are nothing and nowhere. Without her, we would all be homeless, starving, and hopeless. Happy Mother's Day, Mother Earth. The OP echoes my sentiments exactly. Thanks to the OP for remembering our dying Mother. We will never give up trying to save Her from the heartless disrespectful jerks who are trying to rape, rob, and pillage Her. Never.
