The Lionel beeps are driving me nuts. Is he mocking AAR for agreeing |
|
to play Opie and Anthony and then plays the beeps? What an asshole. He hasn't said one thing of relevance today. He is pretending to defend the 1st amendment. Okay. Next thing he'll do is probably agitate against taxes. He's a libertarian, and BORING!

1. My take is - he doesn't know it's beeped. In his headphones he hears it all |
|
Edited on Mon May-14-07 10:17 AM by The Count
and his sound man omitted to tell him it's all beeped. he is pushing RW issues under the pretext that Rice was the target. personally, if the talk was purely sexual, I don't care. But if there was any racisn mixed in, i don't accept it against her any more than anyone else. I notice that the a*hole never specifies.

What a huge mistake they made. Sam was one of the best AAR had. Idiots.

because he told the truth all the time Maybe some deep-pocketed Noe-con made an offer the new owners of AAR couldn't refuse.

And yes, us Liberals believe in free speech. If you don't like a program, don't listen to it. If enough people don't, it'll be cancelled.

26. Calling management to complain is different from the previous person asking |
|
everyone to call the talent and "make his life miserable." If you feel offended, you should feel free to call and complain.

28. Umm... that is how the commercial market works... |
|
It isn't an infringement on his free speech to voice one's opinion of a show and to lobby for content that you enjoy.
Many of us are paying for it through XM subscriptions, but even those who webcast or listen to an affiliate HAVE A VOICE. Telling people to TURN IT OFF is to suggest they don't have a right to advocate for content they enjoy. I'm surprised at this attitude, NYCGIRL. Perhaps that is not what you meant to express?

24. That's the way of an audience. Just happens to be a liberal/progressive audience |
|
It's a little different than not liking a show on television with 100 other choices of similar programming. There is only a small amount of liberal radio out there, and they have to listen to their audience. I'm sure they guy gives out the phone number to call in, they are asking people to call. If someone doesn't like the show and is committed to the station and it's programing they should actually feel a duty to call in and complain. I have no doubt that if a conservative talk station put on someone it's audience felt was too moderate they would call in droves, hardly a freeper/liberal thing.

|
and pretending it wasn't bleeped. I suspected that much, but I thought it was a "1st amendment" criticism of AAR for not letting him play it unbleeped. Well guess what, it was just a joke on us, listeners. There was no point to it. He just played us for suckers. He is a giant asshoe, that's all. I will never listen to him again, and that's a promise, not a joke.

If you don't like the show, listen to something else. You people are way too hypersensitive.
