Per MSNBC: Ipsos/Reuters poll...
Edited on Tue Jul-27-10 02:19 PM by Subdivisions
Will you vote on election day?

Republicans 72%

Democrats 49%

Edited: I typoed 39% instead of 49%. A 10% difference to the better. Or not.

7. Read it again, it's not supposed to total 100%
72% of Republicans polled say they will vote, 39% of Democrats polled say it. It's not asking who people will vote for, only what percentage of each party will vote.

9. It's a turnout poll, not a preferences poll
It's apparent that democrats are unmotivated for the upcoming election.

12. It's 49% of Democrats- link
A Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll released on Tuesday found 72 percent of Republicans certain that they will vote in November compared to 49 percent of Democrats.

The question not answered is what portion of the population considers themselves affiliated with each party.

16. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't there many more registered Democrats than Republicans?
If I'm right, this poll doesn't really mean a thing without concrete numbers.

Edited on Tue Jul-27-10 02:24 PM by Oregone
But the carrots still exist for the gays, the people against the wars, those for universal health care, those who want real fiscal stimulus, etc....

The Democrats craftily made sure all those election carrots were there to keep waving in our pony faces. Of course we are motivates to vote and keep doing the same thing, expecting different results

18. CNN or should I say Fox Lite has an article
that say about 100.....got that folks......100 Democratic seats will go for the republicans. Their political analyst, the ones they just hired who used to work for the Bush administration that is. Who in the hell in this country is so darn dumb and stupid in that many districts to vote for republicans? The more you read this crap the more you see how desperate they are. They think they can influence the elections. All all this is based on the fact that usually the minority party wins when the majority party is in power like in 1994 which was a fluke.
