This post is only for you if you still support the President.
If you still support the President, please wear a campaign button, or any memorabilia from his presidency on August 4 to honor his birthday. The job is tough and it is a day of support. Flash your bumper stickers or T shirts, etc. Now if you hate him or have withdrawn your support, the usual day of verbal abuse and written hate post will continue.

5. "Support the President"
Edited on Wed Jul-28-10 05:02 PM by Hissyspit
That is begging for clarification due to its vagueness. Is it similar to "Support the Troops?," which is open to translation and has a long history of being used as propaganda sloganeering and dialogue suppression?

That asked, Happy Birthday, Mr. President. :-)

and right now, no I do NOT support many of his actions. That said, he's still better than any Republican. Which really isn't saying much if we want to be honest with ourselves. I still have my Obama/Biden bumper sticker on my car. Will it be there in 2012? That remains to be seen.

You do realize Obama is NOT up for election in 2010 right?

11. I support and supported POTUS Obama
But often his appointments and actions I find disappointing enough to where I feel deceived and am in the situation of support based upon hope rather then true change. I would rather be reality based than faith (hope) based.

I make excuses to myself such as well he is a politition and what are the alternatives (as some as so ready to quip).

Stop the wars. Spend money on the people.

Of course, posting there wouldn't get you all the validating attention you want now, would it? :eyes:

17. I still support the president, but I am disappointed as hell.
We expected more. We voted for more. We were promised more.

And what we got was DLC business as usual.

21. I'll celebrate Obama's birthday, sure!
For personal reasons--my birthday is July 6, which is also Bush the Lesser's birthday. 8 years of his ugly mug on the TV on MY DAY generates some serious resentment. Obama pisses me off free and clear, but only because I had higher expectations.
