Here is a picture of Bruce a bit back:

Notice anything different?
Here is a bit of what has happened to him in this last yr, taken from another forum I am part of. Welcome back Bruce, so good to see you up and marching!

6/18/06 Apparently Bruce came in contact with a live wire during an electrical storm this morning. He is burned over 40% of his body and is now in critical care in Minneapolis. There is not any brain damage, he did lose two fingers.

6/19/06
I talked to one of Bruce's 2 sons. He is heavily sedated and not responsive beyond barely opening his eyes when they talk to him. Operation tomorrow to see if they can save his arm. If not it will have to be amputated at the elbow.

6/23/06
Bruce had his 3rd surgery on Thursday and his arm has been amputated to below the shoulder. The swelling in his face is going down and every day he is looking more like my Father!

8/06
A huge hello to all of you who have been using this amazing site "Caringbridge" since my accident more then eight weeks ago. You are so beautiful, loving, and caring, it makes me cry. I love you all so much...THANK YOU!!!

Yes, this is Bruce, home and up for the next challenge. But, before I forget to mention this, you all need to know from my somewhat bias point of view that the quality of care at Hennepin County Medical Center Burn Unit in downtown Minneapolis is next to none. They were obviously a major player in my survival and recovery, whom I will forever be grateful.

About the challenge I spoke of earlier, for the first four to six weeks home, my loving wife Lois and son Alex will be my caregivers. Although it's an absolute dream to be home, the structure and regiment of therapy, meds and dressing changes, is the only answer to a successful one and a half to two year recovery. Your early prayers and thoughts are still working and I'm certain will continue through this last long step.

Those of you who may not know what my current condition is... the electrical accident caused third degree burns on forty percent of my body, there were skin grafts used to cover the burns from my legs. I lost the majority of my left arm to just above the bicep muscle. The good news...my dominant right arm was unaffected as were all of my senses. I am happy to report that I still maintain the ability to walk the streets with the people...

7. Kicking for Bruce... and Code Pink
I know I was a little disappointed at their actions during the Gonzo hearings, but I can certainly understand their passion.
